Jack was inside packing and organizing, but I was fortunate that a friend was watching and she took a few photos. I also snapped a few with my cell phone I focused on repeating past challenges. I groomed him and picked his feet. He was a little resistant on the back legs, and even gave a couple small kicks, so I worked on that. Then I dragged the cart around in the round pen again for Corey to watch. Next I wanted to lunge him, but I also wanted to introduce One new thing. A Bit! Getting him to take it was so easy, you would have thought he had done it 100 times before. He gaped his mouth and kept getting his tongue over it, but I raised it slightly and then just let him get used to it. Keeping him busy thinking about other things helped. I lunged him, and then I set a little jump and lunged him over it. It was higher, but he didn't fall over it this time! By the time we had done all this, he was used to the bit and not even chomping any more.
At the end, I took the bit off and then put it back on 2 more times. No problem.
